Last month I visited a lot of interesting sessions when I was at Directions EMEA 2019 in Vienna. One of these sessions was a workshop lead by Freddy Kristiansen and Christian Heide Damm from Microsoft regarding CI/CD with Azure DevOps.

This workshop helped me to setup a project on Azure DevOps, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD) and requirements for the developer to submit Pull Requests when checking in.

I will definitely come back to that topic later in more details. Today I would like to share with you a very interresting YouTube video (see below) where the following topics are described:

  • Creating an Azure DevOps project
  • Creating a code repository
  • Connecting an AL project to Azure DevOps
  • Installing a pipeline agent
  • Creating a build pipeline
  • Creating a release pipeline
  • Enabling branch policies
